2. Knife Mark
Carved on the beach: hate
The tongue of the sea water sticks out and licks
The knife mark fades and dissipates
It’s taken back by wideness
Carved on the tree trunk: love
Days soak in and unconsciously participate in the process
The knife mark gets thicker and larger,
Released by the fruit and leaves
Love and hate, an IOU given to time,
Can’t take anything away

I catch the dark again,
Waiting to hand it over to the light
The light is tardy in coming,
Still sewing huge bags to catch the dark

Urezano na plaži: mržnja
Jezik morske vode ga liže
Nožem urezan trag bledi i rasplinjava se
Vraćen je prostranstvu
Urezano u deblo drveta: ljubav
Dani prolaze i nesvesno učestvuju u procesu
Nožem urezan trag se izdužuje i proširuje,
Oslobođen plodom i listovima
Ljubav i mržnja, zaduženički prenos u vremenu,
Ne mogu ništa da oduzmu.
